Choosing the perfect wedding car for you

When thinking about which cars to have for your wedding day, the two main things to consider are budget and theme. Whether it’s a one car or five cars wedding, it is a great way to add that extra little bit of flair and show your personal style. There are so many options available for cars for your wedding. Here, we’ve listed a few ideas and things to take into consideration before hiring cars for your wedding:

1.     Formal / Classic

For a formal / classic style wedding, chauffeur driven cars and stretch limousines like Jaguars, Rolls Royce and Bentleys are a time proven ever popular choice. These beautiful cars provide heavenly luxury and more than enough space for the whole bridal party or bride and groom. Arriving at your wedding in any one of these beautiful classical cars is guaranteed to make you feel very special.

2.     Horse drawn carriage / Traditional

For the perfect fairytale arrival at your wedding, a horse drawn carriage could be everything you’ve dreamed of. Obviously consider the time of year you are planning on having your wedding to avoid extreme heat or extreme cold! Also consider the length of the journey and plan appropriately.  Check out the carriage first. Things to consider might be shade / cover. You may like to consider taking an umbrella or parasol to shield your hair from any unexpected wind. So if you’re not after a cars wedding, this kind of horse power is perfect!

3.     Your own personal style

If you have a particular style in mind that is out of the ordinary, these days you can pretty much find something to suit, no matter how different it may be! Motorcycles with side cars, rally cars or monster trucks, or for water weddings; boats, catamarans or jet skis, you can find it all! Whatever your heart (and imagination) desires, you can be sure you’ll find what you’re looking for.

4.     Need something larger to fit everyone in???

If you want to have all of your bridal party with you, don’t despair! What about a stretch Hummer?? Some of these can carry 14 people! Need even more space?? Why not forget the traditional cars wedding and have a bus fully kitted out with bridal decorations! Some of these have bars on board!

Chauffeur or Self Drive?

Having a chauffeur driven wedding car can certainly be a blessing! A great chauffeur will keep track of time for you and get you where you need to be when you need to be there. This will also allow you to just sit back and relax and enjoy your day without wondering where your driver is. Equally, you won’t have to worry about having a few drinks.

You don’t necessarily have to have a professional chauffeur though. You may like the idea of hiring a particular car and having a friend drive you to the wedding so that you can drive off together from your wedding on it. Some couples opt for sports cars for example. Imagine arriving at or leaving your wedding in a Ferrari and driving off to your honeymoon destination!
